Then if on the way home you need extra room, you can use any extra space.

I noticed on my last flight that everyone seemed good about realizing that other people needed to pee. I was in the window seat, and when the aisle person got up to pee, the middle person said, "Well, we might as well all go!" and we all did. They let me go first so then I got back first and it was all orderly-like.

I would be tempted, if I were you and if your husband were Paul, to say to Paul that, sorry, the snacks and the lunches and the clothes and the showers WERE going to have to be up to him for just five days. And that I would be happy to make things a little easier (by, say, showing him the boxes of snacks, or by buying juice boxes even if I might normally refill a reusable bottle, and by writing a basic schedule including getting-up and leaving-for-bus times), but that it was still going to ultimately be up to him. And then I would send notes to school with each child explaining that I would be away, so that if my children came to school snackless, unshowered, and in crazy attire, the teacher would know it was not my fault.

Everything WILL be okay. It WILL. And there is still email and phone, so you won't be stranded where no one can ask you questions if things start going weird at home.

I do love lists for times like this. I can start crossing things off.Swistlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13126937282657655091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2304408055161689399.post-72359478728450653172011-04-26T15:11:49.805-04:002011-04-26T15:11:49.805-04:00Just let go. Homer has to travel frequently and he just... leaves. If I go away for a long weekend, I need to leave a book of instructions and prepare myself to come home to messy rooms and piles of laundry. You'll have a great time away and you'll be appreciated for everything you do all the more when you return.LoriDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07646658618955664778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2304408055161689399.post-48172835953835132642011-04-26T13:06:18.516-04:002011-04-26T13:06:18.516-04:00It will all work out. You get a bed to yourself for 6 days, you can pee alone and you can eat a nice, leisurely pace. Then you'll be happy to go back home to your family and they will be thrilled to see you. Can't wait to hear all about it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
